⚠️ Current Advisories — May
Late Snowpack — High Elevation Routes
May–June: many 14er routes still hold significant snow above 12,000 ft. Class 1 trails may feel like Class 3–4 in places. Crampons, ice axe, and avalanche awareness still warranted on north-facing couloirs. Trail Ridge Road typically opens late May. Berthoud and Loveland Passes remain snow-covered through mid-June.
